Christine L Cardone, FNP
Family Medicine
Bio & Overview
Christine Cardone, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in managing chronic conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity, along with neuropsychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD.
She also treats acute illnesses and injuries.
“When I first meet a new patient, I take the time for us to get to know each other on a personal basis,” she says.
“I want patients to feel comfortable with me and know I do not subscribe to a ‘one size fits all’ treatment plan. My patients are unique individuals and I treat them as such.”
Christine was born in New York City and lived most of her life in New Jersey. Her father was a pastor and theologian and her mother was a medical social worker.
Growing up, Christine’s primary care provider was a nurse practitioner who inspired her to enter the profession. “I watched her work,” says Christine, “and wanted to be like her, helping patients when they needed it most.
She became one of my clinical preceptors in graduate school.”
Christine studied public health at Rutgers University and earned undergraduate and master’s degrees in nursing from Pace University in New York. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a pediatric RN.
Her experience includes work in a large, level 1 trauma center, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation facilities, and rural health clinics. She also served on medical mission trips to Hungary, Slovakia, and Nicaragua.
Christine met her husband in high school. They live in Northern Virginia with their five children. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting her family in New Jersey and spending time at the Jersey Shore.
