Bio & Overview
Anirudh Sundararaghavan, MD, is an internal medicine doctor who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients.
“My interest in internal medicine stems from the wide variety of cases that you see and the wide variety of people that you get to help,” he shares. “The team aspect of hospital medicine is also something that has always appealed to me with all members of the healthcare staff working towards a common goal – the betterment of a patient’s health.”
He adds, “I also really enjoy working with and teaching clinical skills to residents and medical students as well as point-of-care ultrasound training.”
Dr. Sundararaghavan was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He went to the Georgia Institute of Technology where he majored in biomedical engineering. He completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. He came to UVA for his residency training in internal medicine.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time hiking, reading, playing golf, and watching sports.
